Synergy training through Acroyoga is a playful and dynamic practice with a fusion of Yoga, Acrobatics and Thai Massage. We play with partner balance, conditioning, inversions and stretching.

SuperYogi blends the exciting beauty of acrobatics with the peaceful connection of yoga. Together two (or more) people interact through positions of balance and grace. This practice can be more therapeutic and massage oriented or more acrobatic and performing arts oriented. Pictures drastically take these mere words into comprehension, but actually flying in one of these positions is the only way to fully understand what an amazing and addictive practice this is.

As a personal trainer, calisthenics enthusiast and AcroYoga International instructor, Will is fuelled by a passion for holistic fitness. Beginning his teaching career almost a decade ago in outdoor education he uses this broad training to infuse all his classes with fun and electrifying enthusiasm. Will is a very experienced teacher, inviting students to safely step outside of their comfort zones to achieve the goals of their dreams.

Classes

Acroyoga Beginners

It is a Beginners class and no experience or partner required, you’ll start with some fun warm-ups to get you moving, then take a look at the foundations of teamwork and spotting, before moving on to some flying practice. This class is a great introduction for those who have never tried (or heard of!) acro, or for those who want to solidify the basics to help develop their practice.

 

Friday 

Class:   Acroyoga Beginners

Time:    17:00 – 18:30

Location: Hamilton House

Acroyoga Intermediate

Acroyoga flows, pops, whips and general nonsense awaits if you choose to join us. Not suitable for beginners. This class is designed for those already with an active practice in either Acro, Acroyoga or whom have competent body awareness. You will start with targeted yoga to warm up, then skills based exercises for integration and orientation, the session will then lead on to Interesting washing machines, flows and sequences with the intention that you practice them (with a spot) in your own time between sessions.

Monday

Class:   Acroyoga Intermediate

Time:    20:15 – 21:30

Location: The Island

Acroyoga Advanced

Not suitable for beginners. This class is designed for those already with an active practice in either Acro, Acroyoga or whom have competent body awareness. (Any questions: email me!!) You will start with 10-15mins of targeted yoga to warm up, then 1 or 2 skills based exercises for integration and orientation, the session will then lead on to Interesting washing machines, flows and sequences with the intention that you practice them (with a spot) in your own time between sessions.

Class:   Acroyoga Fitness

Time:    20:00 – 21:30

Location: Synergy

Acroyoga All Levels

AcroYoga is a playful and dynamic practice. A fusion of Yoga, Acrobatics and Thai Massage, we play with partner balance, conditioning, inversions and stretching. It is a Beginners class – no experience or partner required! Welcome to the community!

Monday

Class:   Acroyoga All Levels

Time:    19:00 – 20:00

Location: The Island

Acrofit

AcroFit is acrobatics inspired circuits class, perfect for anyone with solo, partner or group acro practice or who wants to begin one. It will also compliment anyone who trains in aerial or calisthenics. We focus on handstands, muscle activation, core and alignment. It’s a fast paced, fun and challenging class, you will sweat!

Time:    18:30 – 19:45

Location: Synergy

Fitness Yoga

Designed to build strength, felxibility and fitness, this is yoga as taught by a personal trainer. Both Men & Women can benefit from adding fitness yoga into their routine. As a workout concentrating on both strength and flexibility it will give your body the kick up the assana it’s looking for! It is a strong, intense and physically challenging workout with accessible postures that challenge the body in new ways, increase performance and capability in sport and reduces the possibility of injury or painful impingement.

Class:   Yoga Fitness

Time:    09:45 – 10:45

Through the year there will be workshops with to support progression; beginners workshops will focus on basing, flying, and spotting foundations to give those at the start of their journey the tools and confidence to increase their practice.

1 to 1 Acroyoga suitable for anyone looking to learn specific ‘washing machine’ flows or routines. Individual tuition is also perfect for anyone looking to take their Acroyoga to the next level. A normal 2-hour session will look like: – 30 – 45 minutes – alignment, tightness & balance drills – Remainder of the session – putting into practice, working on individual goals.
